Canada Visa services
in Surat, after SDS.

Visitor · Study Permit · Super Visa. IRCC closed the Student Direct Stream in November 2024, so every Indian file now sits in the regular queue. Preparation is the only advantage left — and it is the one we specialise in.

Fees, transparently

What a Canada application actually costs.

IRCC government charges only. Our professional fee is quoted separately after the free consultation — never bundled, never hidden inside a "package".

$100 Visitor visa (TRV) Per person, with a family maximum of CAD $500 when filed together.
$150 Study permit Plus biometrics — CAD $235 minimum for a single student applicant.
$85 Biometrics CAD $170 family maximum. Collected at a VFS centre in Ahmedabad or Mumbai.
FUNDS Proof of funds — students CAD $22,895 for living costs per year (single applicant, outside Quebec, from 1 Sep 2025), plus full first-year tuition and return travel.
GIC Guaranteed Investment Certificate No longer mandatory since SDS closed — but still the cleanest way to prove living costs, and we usually recommend it.
MED Upfront medical exam With an IRCC panel physician. Doing it upfront removes one of the most common delays.
$100 Super visa Plus private medical insurance of at least CAD $100,000 for one year.

IRCC fees are charged in Canadian dollars, so your rupee outgo depends on the card rate on the day of payment. We confirm every amount with you before it leaves your account.

Step-by-step

The Travelism Canada process.

01

Free discovery call

Your goal, budget, academic record and any refusal history — before a single form is opened.

02

DLI & programme fit

We check the institution is a DLI, whether a PAL is required, and whether the programme aligns with post-graduation work eligibility.

03

Letter of Acceptance & tuition

Unconditional LOA secured and verified, first-year tuition paid, PAL or TAL collected where it applies.

04

Funds structuring

GIC set up, sponsor income documented, and the source of every large credit explained on paper.

05

SOP & study plan

Written with you, not for you. Genuine intent is the single biggest refusal ground since the cap came in.

06

Submission, medical & biometrics

Filed through your IRCC account with the upfront medical attached, then biometrics booked immediately.

07

Tracking & IRCC requests

We monitor the file and respond to additional-document or procedural fairness letters inside the deadline.

08

POE letter & landing brief

Port of Entry letter explained, flights planned, and a briefing on what the border officer will ask.

What changed, honestly

Canada got harder. That is exactly why the file matters.

We would rather tell you the truth in the first meeting than sell you an intake you will not clear. Here is what actually changed — and how each point is handled in a Travelism file.

  • SDS closed on 8 November 2024 — one regular stream for everyone
  • A federal cap on study permits, allocated by province
  • Letters of Acceptance verified directly with the institution
  • Higher scrutiny of genuine intent, not just funds
  • Master's and doctoral students at public DLIs are PAL-exempt from January 2026

We also plan the route beyond the permit: study permits run for your programme plus 90 days, and the Post-Graduation Work Permit that follows is what feeds Express Entry and provincial nomination. Choosing the wrong programme today closes the PR door three years later.

Frequently asked

Canada visa questions, answered by Surat's experts.

No. IRCC discontinued the Student Direct Stream on 8 November 2024. Every applicant, from India or anywhere else, now goes through the single regular study permit stream. Files from India are typically taking eight to twelve weeks after biometrics, against the twenty business days SDS used to offer — which is why applying early in the intake cycle matters more than it ever did.

Travelism, at Star Arcade in Nanpura, has worked on Canada files since 2013 and holds a 5.0 Google rating across 118 verified reviews. Study permits are handled by Student Visa Specialist Rohan Mehta with documentation led by Ayesha Rafi, and every case is signed off by founder Azharuddin. We are candid about the current refusal environment rather than promising outcomes nobody can guarantee.

Since 1 September 2025 a single applicant studying outside Quebec must show CAD $22,895 for living costs for the first year, on top of full first-year tuition and return travel. Additional family members raise the threshold. A GIC is no longer mandatory now that SDS has closed, but it remains the cleanest evidence, and we usually recommend routing living costs through one.

From 1 January 2026, master's and doctoral applicants at public Designated Learning Institutions are exempt from the Provincial Attestation Letter requirement. College and undergraduate applicants still need a PAL or TAL, and it must be issued before you submit. We confirm PAL status with the institution before you pay tuition, not after.

IRCC updates its published times regularly. Through 2026, super visa processing for Indian applicants has come down to roughly fifty days and visitor visa times have held steady or improved, while study permits remain the slow category at eight to twelve weeks. We check the live IRCC figure for your specific category on the day we file, and plan your travel dates around it.

Refusal rates for Indian study permit applicants rose sharply through 2025 and 2026, so this is common work for us. We read the refusal letter and, where useful, the officer's notes, identify whether the concern was funds, genuine intent or programme logic, then rebuild that specific part of the file — often with a different programme or province — before reapplying.
